The first video: Media Evolution

Many, many years ago we used carrier pigeons to send messages to each other. Then the first newspaper came in the beginning of the 18th century. About 100 years later, in 1901, the first radio broadcast was made by Marconi. BBC made their first own radio broadcast in 1922. 14 years later, in 1936, BBC announced their first television broadcast. In 1953 22 million people watched the coronation of Elizabeth II on television. Just 16 years later 600 people watched Neil Armstrong's moonwalk, live and in colour. In 1994 UK's first newspaper webside, The Electronic Telegraph, was announced. Only 4 years later Larry Page and Sergey Brin renamed their search energine Google, now the most used webside in the world.

The second video: The Virtual Revolution

Tim Berners Lee invented the World Wide Web, as we know it, the three WWW. Its only 20 years since its breakthrough. Over the years it has given us possibilitieswe would never have dreamt of. But the World Wide Web can be a blessing and it can be a curse. Almost the whole world got reshaped by the digital revolution, and a quarter of the planet use the WWW. At the WWW we all have equal voice, equal access, the WWW has "Blown apart and levelled up access to communication." At websides like Wikipedia where everybody can write and change, we can, even though we are amateurs, tell the rest of the world what we know.
